RE/MAX Career Night-UPDATED

 Mr
Jim Van Horn, a former RE/MAX Regional Director in
the United States has been confirmed to attend our
Career Night on Tuesday 13th March at the Village
Hotel in Cardiff. Jim is a worldwide RE/MAX
trainer and is also the main instructor for the
two-day training course organised by RE/MAX Wales for
all property sales associates. The training course
entitled ‘RE/MAX Jump Start Course’ is held at the
Regional Office each month and is attended by all new
associates from all the RE/MAX offices throughout
Wales.
Having started his
career in 1979 and having joined RE/MAX in 1984, Mr
Van Horn is considered a veteran from the RE/MAX
system. Today he spends 70% of his time travelling
throughout Europe exchanging his knowledge with
associates from RE/MAX’s European regions. Mr Van
Horn boasts plenty of experience in the property
sector where after having started as an agent, he
moved on to holding positions of RE/MAX International
Trainer, Regional Director of RE/MAX New England
comprising 6 US States and Regional Director RE/MAX
South West comprising another 5 US States.

There's always something
exciting to anticipate when you're with RE/MAX. We
have marked our calendars for adventure, education,
sightseeing and join our peers at any or all of these
energizing events. Each year the office Broker
Owner pays for the top Sales Associate in the office
to attend the convention. This year Clive
Mundell has earned his reward by beating nine other
associates for overall production to be able to
attend the International Convention in Atlanta. |

RE/MAX Career Night

Being held in the Village Hotel
at 7.30pm for approximately one hour is the world
famous RE/MAX Career Night. These events tour
the world introducing top professionals and young
entrepreneurs to the global organisation of RE/MAX.
The presentation, 60 minutes with RE/MAX goes through
briefly the company and how we operate along with
expected income levels of our Sales Associates (we
now have over 120,000 worldwide). This event
will be presented by regional directors Robert Lock
and Jonathan Thomas and Broker Owners Sean and Ceri.
Also on hand for the evening will be a Sales
Associate from the office and Andrew Wools from
franchise sales. |

2nd October 2006
International Property Centre Opens
|

On Monday 2nd October 2006 a
new service opened in our Cardiff Office and focuses
on selling properties in 67 countries worldwide
including Spain, Bulgaria, Dubai and Romania. A
worldwide advertising campaign will kick off it's
launch in all media forms. We are pleased to
welcome Vincent Rey to our team. We expect this
exciting new division to change and expand throughout
2007 and are looking to recruit professionals with a
background in international sales and those who are
multi lingual. |

9th September 2006 Signing
of Spanish Property Deal
|
|
Sean and Ceri McMahon are
pleased to announce the signing of a co-operation
contract with a major developer in Spain. This
contract will see 15,000 apartments being offered for
sale through the two Cardiff RE/MAX Offices and a
creation of a new permanent office in Cardiff
offering these properties for sale. Sean
McMahon commented, "The problems with Spain is rising
crime rates on holiday homes and their owners and
also there are too many tacky areas specifically
targeting the UK market. This is fine for most
agents who are happy to sell properties in a concrete
jungle with no facilities. This deal is
different, there are hardly any English there, they
have their own security and this is mainly a Spanish
resort that is now being offered for sale to the up
market British buyers. The facilities on offer
and location is un-matched by anyone. |

Save The School
Campaign
|
|
In April 2006 RE/MAX Associates
in Canton sponsored Eglwys Wen Primary School in
their Save The School Campaign. We provided
three hundred T-shirts for both pupils and teachers
and were happy to be on hand offering our support at
County Hall. The final result was the closure
plans being thrown out by the Council. |

Associates held their 5th
Annual Dinner & Dance at the Manor Parc Hotel in
Cardiff. Each year Sean uses his birthday as an
excuse to celebrate! |

February 2006 Sean McMahon, Broker Owner (RE/MAX
Properties) and Gareth
Steer, Sales Associate for Cardiff both attended
the RE/MAX International Convention in Las Vegas.
Sean and Gareth attended many training sessions along
with having enough time to see the lights. |
