Inman News, 2006
Inman News honored RE/MAX International with the
prestigious 2006 Innovator Award for the “Most
Innovative Brokerage/Franchise/Realtor.” Since the
launch of the Inman News Innovator Awards in 1997,
Inman News has recognized enterprises that have
demonstrated extraordinary levels of innovation
through the use of technology or the Internet that
enhance the real estate transaction for consumers,
positively impact the real estate industry and
redefine key business models within the market.
Distinguished Service to Humanity Award
Volunteers of America, 2006
Volunteers of America presented RE/MAX International
Co-Founders Dave and Gail Liniger with the Ballington
and Maud Booth Award for Distinguished Service to
Humanity in 2006. The Linigers were recognized for
their outstanding leadership and commitment to making
a difference in their community. The Linigers donated
the use of their private land for charitable events
that enabled Volunteers of America’s Colorado
affiliate to raise funds for its many programs that
serve at-risk children and youth, low-income seniors,
families and people with disabilities.
RE/MAX Among Best Low-Cost Franchises
"Entrepreneur," January 2006
RE/MAX International moved from last year's No. 10
position to No. 8 for 2006 in "Entrepreneur"
magazine's 27th Annual Franchise 500® study. RE/MAX
also ranks as Best of the Best for real estate
services for the sixth time in seven years, and sits
at No. 9 in the Top Global Franchises list. RE/MAX is
listed as No. 4 among Top Low-Cost Franchises and No.
11 among Fastest-Growing Franchises.
Firms Lead in Top Brokerages Study
"REAL Trends 500," 2006
In its 19th year of publication, the "REAL Trends
500" survey categorized RE/MAX as one of the
strongest competitors with 145 firms, a whopping 25.7
percent of the positions available. The survey
measured the performance of the United State's
leading realty service firms in 2005. Also, 130
RE/MAX firms were identified in the "Up-And-Comers"
list among brokerages with 500 or more closed
transaction sides.
RE/MAX Executive Earns Pinnacle of Achievement
Award
The Property Association (South Africa), 2006
Peter Gilmour, senior vice president, franchise sales
and brokerage for RE/MAX International and former
regional director of RE/MAX Southern Africa was among
the The Property Association's 2006 award winners. He
received the Pinnacle of Achievement Award “...for
ground breaking achievement by an industry leader and
inspiration for the well being of the real estate
industry.” The Property Association is well known in
South Africa as an organization that promotes the
real estate industry through its media arm providing
an independent voice for those in real estate and
consumers alike.
RSN Racks Up Awards
2006
The RE/MAX Satellite Network (RSN) has added many top
industry honors in 2006 to its growing list of award
winning productions.
The International Film and Video Festival honored two
RSN programs with its coveted Silver Screen Awards
for "First Step Into Space: The Story of the
Pre-Astronauts" and a profile of 2006 CMN Miracle
Child Kayla Allain.
RSN was also recognized with three Aurora Awards for
programs produced in 2005. Aurora awards were given
for "Your Life. Your Business. Your Way." (a program
designed to assist RE/MAX agents in professional
business and life planning), "The 2005 RE/MAX
International Convention Opening General Session" and
the "Coaching Hall of Fame" featuring Howard Brinton
and Dave Liniger.
RSN earned two Communicator Awards for excellence in
the communication field in 2005. The Crystal Award of
Excellence was awarded for "RE/MAX Opening General
Session - Summer Conference," and the Medical/Fund
Raiser Award of Distinction was awarded for
"Celebrate Miracles 2005."
The Aurora Film and Video organization awarded the
documentary "First Step Into Space: The Story of the
Pre-Astronauts" the Platinum “Best in Show” award.
“First Step Into Space” also received the Gold Award
from the Aurora competition committee. Another RSN
production, “Supercharge Your Career 2006 Fire & Ice”
captured an Aurora Gold Award in the motivational
category.
RE/MAX Co-Founders Named to Hall of Fame
International Franchise Association, 2005
RE/MAX International Co-Founders Dave and Gail
Liniger were inducted into the International
Franchise Association's Hall of Fame. The Hall of
Fame honor is the oldest and most prestigious award
conferred by the IFA. The Linigers were recognized
for their significant contributions to the
advancement of franchising and the franchising
community.

"Entrepreneur," January 2005
In January 2005, "Entrepreneur" magazine ranked
RE/MAX among the top 10 franchises in its 26th Annual
Franchise 500 survey. It also named RE/MAX: "Best of
the Best" for real estate services; the
highest-ranking real estate franchise in "Low Cost
Franchises"; and No. 7 overall in "America's Top
Global Franchises."
RE/MAX Stands Out in Study
"REAL Trends 500," 2005
RE/MAX continues to prove itself as an industry
powerhouse by outpacing its competitors in the annual
"REAL Trends" survey. With 170 RE/MAX offices making
the Top 500 list and accounting for 29 percent of all
firms, the RE/MAX network's closest competitor was
Coldwell Banker, with 106 firms. The survey ranks
brokerages based on the number of transaction sides
closed during the year.
RE/MAX Leads Power Broker Report
"Power Broker Report," April 2005
In RISMedia's 17th Annual Power Broker report,
published in "National Relocation and Real Estate"
magazine, RE/MAX outpaced the field with 147 of 500
spots in the survey. Another 58 RE/MAX offices made
the "Companies to Watch" list, and 27 made the
"Billion Dollar Club" list.
"Everybody Wins"
The Story and Lessons Behind RE/MAX, 2004
Few people outside of RE/MAX understand the inner
workings of the most successful real estate network
in the world. Authors Phil Harkins and Keith Hollihan
provide the first book-length look at the secrets of
RE/MAX with "Everybody Wins." Published December
2004, this book is a behind-the-scenes look at how a
single-office operation expanded into a global
network. It paints a comprehensive picture of an
amazing real estate franchisor, its colorful
chairman, Dave Liniger, and other key contributors

In January 2004, "Entrepreneur" magazine ranked

"REAL Trends 500," 2004
The RE/MAX network found itself once again leading
the rankings in the 2004 REAL Trends 500 survey.
RE/MAX offices have maintained a leading presence in
the annual study for nearly a decade. RE/MAX offices
captured 169 - or 30 percent - of the top 567 spots
(more than 500 due to ties) in the study, which ranks
brokerages by closed transaction sides.
RE/MAX Leads Big Broker Report
"REAL Trends 500," 2003
RE/MAX again dominated the "REAL Trends" survey in
2003. RE/MAX offices accounted for more than 30
percent of the 500 largest firms in the United
States. RE/MAX offices accounted for 68 percent (80
of 117) of offices that topped 1,000 transaction
sides in 2002, and made up six of the top 10 firms
ranked by sales volume per office.

The "2003 Power Broker Report" of "National
Relocation & Real Estate" magazine shows that among
the major franchises, RE/MAX offices and agents have
the highest average annual sales volume.

For the third consecutive year, RE/MAX was the No. 1
real estate services franchise in "Entrepreneur"
